Sustainability at Xbox
Description
This project required the creation of a visual identity for Xbox Sustainability. The desired outcome was for a clean illustrative aesthetic that leaned into abstract elements that felt botanical and hand drawn while incorporating the Xbox sphere and Xbox brand green color.
Process
To achieve this design I started by gathering inspiration and sketching out some loose ideas on paper. Once I settled on a direction I began working on a more refined design using Procreate. I leaned into abstract shapes and incorporated a new blue color to the design, to create a sort of abstract earth to back the sphere, and incorporated some hand drawn leaves and light shading with a textured brush to make it feel more illustrative and playful. This visual identity was incorporated by myself on multiple placements including a Sustainability web page, Xbox and PC profile themes, Xbox Avatar clothing, Microsoft Teams backgrounds, Wallpapers, Infographics, and promotional imagery. Other teams across Xbox picked up the visual identity and created even more such as live stream graphics, and an in game car for Forza Horizon 5.
